Can't install 7100

Yah, if the disk booted and stalled after that it sounds like bad burn and that error in the verification just confirms that. It's either a bad iso image, or just bad burns so far.

I've used ImgBurn with all builds so far with no issues. It's free and the default setup for burning a bootable image is all that's needed so no tweaking of settings is needed.
You can get it Here if you want to try it with that.

I should buy a DVD+/-RW for occasions just like this one. Then I can burn it until I get it right.

Nope, won't boot on rewritable media unfortunately.

There is a txt file on the dvd that contains this "This disc contains a "UDF" file system and requires an operating system that supports the ISO-13346 "UDF" file system specification." Is that the problem? I doubt it.
That IS exactly the problem.

You need to reburn as an ISO. Use UltraISO or imageburn. Forget NERO now its horrible (although you probably didn't use it).

The ISO burn for the boot IS NOT UDF. It should have a proper boot sector and be bootable.

There's NO problem either in using +RW (or -RW) re-writeable media for creating bootable discs -- do it all the time --what with all these builds and some dubious ISO images from bad torrents.

I used a dvd from the same batch for the 7000 image and never had a bad burn with them before. Now 3 in a row.
