Cant install MS Mouse & Keyboard Ctr - says I need W7, but I do

I am trying to install the MS Mouse & Keyboard Center, and it keeps giving me the msg that:


"Setup cannot install this software because your computer does not meet the system requirements. To install this software, you must have a computer running Microsoft Windows 7 or later. For additional system requirements and compatibility information, see the product packaging or the Microsoft Hardware Web site."

The thing is... I DO have Win7 - Win7 pro 64 bit. Has anybody else experienced this? Thanks in advance for any suggestions/help.
