Have a problem with installing windows 7. It says that "the windows can not be installed to this disc. this computers hardware may not support booting to this disc. ensure that the discs controller is enabled in the computer bios menu".
I have looked in the bios and cant see anything of relevance to enable anything. the HDD is a seagate barracuda 7000.9. Any possible fixes anybody knows of have googled it extensively and found nothing.
Hi and welcome to the forums
Is the HD listed in your BIOS?
Are you overclocking via BIOS (per your System Specs)? I recommend reverting everything to Auto or default before installing.

Ah sorry forgot to mention i am building this for a friend and everything is on stock has nothing to do with my system spec sorry about that. Its all totaly fresh out the box only thing i changed was the ram voltage to what it should be.
Nice one
Make sure the controller is not set up as RAID in BIOS (shouldn't be if it wasn't changed, but you never know)
Have you gotten to the screen where you can load drivers for your HD?
