Solved Can't listen to music with Sony mdr zx770 Bluetooth headphone

I used to be able to listen to music through a pair of Sony bluetooth headphones on my Wins 7 laptop. However, I am no unable to do so. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the bluetooth drivers with no success, removed and added the device. I followed a number of the steps in this thread : http://www.sevenforums.com/sound-au...-wont-connect-not-avail-playback-devic-3.html , specifically the post from 11th Dec 2014 . Computer has been restarted multiple times.

I've attached an image of what I see. I can connect the headphones to the laptop, but can't listen to music. I also cannot set the headphones to default playback.

Atm, I'm listening through an aux cable, but any additional trouble shooting steps would be appreciated.

That was one of the bad things about KB3172605 it kills bluetooth devices

Thanks for pointing that out. I've played around with the KB3172605 update (uninstalling and reinstalling) and it definitely does seem to be the cause of the issue.

I thought it was fixed in the new version released this month = guess not still waiting for Intel to fix it I guess ?
