Cant log in to windows

My father left me a laptop when he passed, unfortunately i do not have his log in infotmation for windows and am unsure of how to procees with logging in. I dint mind wiping the computer and starting fresh but i dont know the steps on how to do this l, again i cant log into windows at all and need help

Here are the steps, if you need to create a Windows 7 installer, let us know what version you want and what bit and we will post the direct Microsoft link to download the iso file so you can create an install dvd or usb stick.

To reset the password read this treat Dementia, so password forgotten, most attempts to repair failed.

To clean the computer and reinstall Win 7, do a factory recover. It will reinstall windows as it was new. Beware: It will clean and format the disk. To do so, you enter BIOS an look for Factory Recover.
