Can't log on to windows 7 after installing

Well here's the story.

I got a version of windows 7 from my friend, and when I install, it always fails. I took me 6 tries to finally successfully install it.

Well, after the completing installation step, it shows a black screen with a mouse cursor for like 30min, and there's no sound. So I was like...hmm this isn't right, and I restarted the computer.

After restarting, windows 7 ran fine, but it displayed a log in screen. Since I didn't set any password, I couldn't log in. I tried many combos...administrator, "blanks", etc and I can't log in.

I'm so frustrated right now because I've spent like hours on this and when I finally got it right I can't log on lol.

Can anyone offer a solution?

Next time you go to install, remove the tv and second monitor should either exist.

There is a fix for blinking cursor after install if you get it on reinstall.

Where did you get Win7? Download or Disk? Burned how? You have a key?

The reason I ask the above is it sounds like a modded mess.

I'm wondering why it took you 6 tries to get it installed, have you tried getting a new copy, and installing that?
