Can't open any programs

from desktop or all programs.I think my brother done something that not tellimg me.anyway it says:This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action.Please install or,if one is already installed,create an association in the Default Programs control panel.ty

Does it do it for every single program? Or just most of them (the any in the title might be different to different people).

You could try a system restore to when the computer worked - http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/700-system-restore.htmlSystem Restore

Do it in safe mode though, where there's more chance of programs working if you choose method one.

it duesn't work.it restores to the time that it won't fix.

Hello Scrambledlife,

You might see if downloading and merging the LNK and EXE downloads in the tutorial below may be able to help fix this after restarting the computer. They will restore the default associations for shortcuts (lnk) and applications (exe). Hopefully that may be the issue here.
