Can't open Group Policy Editor

Trying to get rid of the annoying popup in ie9 "Speed up browsing by disabling add-ons", I googled and got a suggestion. Trying to open GPEDIT.MSC and I keep getting MMC could not create the snap in.

This happens with open as administrator and after a reboot. Can someone tell me what's wrong, please?

Ah, thanks for the info... I didn't realise group policy wasn't in with home premium, and the website I linked in my original post doesn't mention it.

Anytime upgrade really isn't worth it for me for what I use.. I have another laptop networked but it has Xp pro and I remote in to it without problem, so home premium is great for me.

The next time you get that popup click it and look at the options. Somewhere in there, there is an option to change the time threshold. If you increase it so its longer that the load time of your slowest add-in the popup goes away.
