Hey,

I'm currently working with a laptop running a new copy of Windows 7 Professional (not the one in my system specs). Mozilla Firefox is the default browser, and for some reason, I can't get any links I click on in external programs to open. I click on a link in Outlook, Messenger, or any other program, and the focus switches off of that program, but nothing else happens. Firefox is working just fine otherwise. Any ideas or suggestions?

Sorry to keep you hanging for so long! My time has been completely consumed for the last week.

I was finally able to fix this problem by switching the default browser to IE, and then back to Firefox. Apparently there was some sort of a conflict between Firefox and IE where both browsers were trying to grab the link at the same time. Kind of like when two people go to pick the same thing up off the floor, and their heads knock together, preventing either of them from getting the picking up the object.

Anywho, the problem is now solved. Can this topic be marked as such, or is there some other way to archive this in case someone else ever has this problem?

P.S. Thunderbird is not a web browser, it is an email client. :)
