I have the default program (bluevoda.exe) set to open .bvp files. When I click on a .bvp file it will open the program to a blank page. It will not open the page though. I must go thru the File - Open - and then find the file I want to open.
In XP, it would open the page but Windows 7 does not.
Have I overlooked something in setting the default program? How can I get the page to open IN the program and not just open the program?
Thanks

Hey texnpa,

Welcome to 7 Forums!

You probably want to run this program in compatibility mode. Find the .exe program file (C:\Program Files\...)
Then you will want to right click, and choose compatibility tab.
Then you can choose to run as Windows XP.

Follow this tutorial if you need any further help or guidance: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/316-compatibility-mode.html

Ben

Thanks Ben, I tried that but still no go. Clicking on a .bvp file will open the program but not the page. I tried every OS back to 95. Any more suggestions?
Thanks

If you were able to open the files with XP, but not with Windows 7, I think that there is a good possiblity that the problem may be with your bluefovda. Why not uninstall and try downloading it again. It may be corrupt. From a distance with questions like this there is no way to give a definitive answer, it is all hit and miss. As Ben, already said, if it does not work, post again.

Instead of running the program (finding the exe), run the file in compatibility (if possible not sure and at school)

I"m not sure this has to do with compatability. When I click on a file, it opens the program to a blank page - if just won't open the program showing the file I clicked on.
It's like if you clicked on a .pdf file and Adobe would open but show only a blank page. Then you would have to click File - Open and find the file and open it. Normally if you click on a .pdf file, Adobe will open and the specific file you clicked on will be showing.
Thanks for your help.
