I'm havin' a bit of trouble installing Service Pack 1. Either that or Windows Update wants to make an excuse and stop the installation halfway and then spit out a random error code.
Failed - Error Code 8024200D
Would downloading the MSU file help resolve what's halting the update process?

Run it - The tool can take anywhere from 5 mins to a couple of hours to run (or 'Install') depending on how much it has to do, and may exit silently - it may appear to freeze for most of that time, but be patient. The result is logged in the C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log file - and an archive …\checksur.persist.log file
Then zip the CheckSUR.log and upload it to your public SkyDrive so I can take a look - post a link in your reply.

I've never seen a 0x8024200D that hasn't been solved by download and installing the update from the Microsoft Download Centre, so give that a go and let us know how you get on.
Regardless of whether it fails or succeeds, I would still like you to run the SURT as Noel instructed as it will tell us the state of your Windows Updates.
