Hello, I have Lenovo 20C1001DUS and I recently updated it to Windows 10 and I hate it so I want to install Windows 7 OS so I went out and bought a CD. I started doing some reading to get the OS I have to put on a USB so I found a program that moves the OS to the USB which was easy but I cant but the next step is for my tablet to boot from the USB and I cant figure out how to get it to do that because I don't know how to get into the BIOS. I have a usb keyboard if that would help.... Ideas? Get me out of this 10

Thanks!

Well a friend of mine downloaded and install Windows 10 on his Windows 7 computer from the nagging update link. He said there is an uninstall in Programs and Features in View Installed Updates if he didn't like it.

Holding the power and volume up gets me in the same menu/bios i drag my USB HDD to the top and save it. Now with my USB stick in it doesn't show any names nor does it show names for my HD and SD card and I think if i were on a regular pc in more familiar bios it would show that? Anyway, I save and restart and windows 10 boots up every time. I don't get it

Do you have the secure boot option in your bios ?
If you do and it's enabled, try disabling it and see if that helps.

That was one of the first things i turned off. Maybe its my USB drive? I have been reading its supposed to be fat32 and I checked and its NTFS. I made it using the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool by Microsoft and it dont give an option to change it . im not sure if it even matters im just out of options.

Can you try booting a different PC with the USB drive to test if it can be booted ?

You can look at this tutorial by Brink.
Option 2 / Step 6 has instructions for using Rufus which shows FAT32 can be selected.
It's for Win 10 but maybe creating a Win 7 flash stick would work the same ?

Did you try rebuilding the flash stick with Rufus and formatting it as FAT32 ?

In post #12 i asked if using Rufus might work for you to "bebuild" the flash stick as FAT32.
Did you ever try using Rufus to "rebuild" the flash stick ?
That's what i mean by "rebuild" - try Rufus.

but i have tried to make it a fat32 and it wont let me
How did you try to make it fat32 ?

If you can post screen prints of errors you see, that would help, see this tutorial:
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/9733-screenshots-files-upload-post-seven-forums.html

Right now it seems your flash stick won't boot either of your PC's, right ?
If i had a flash stick like that I would re-format it and start over.
For you i think the easiest way is to first try Rufus.

Or, do you want to try re-formatting the stick as FAT32 using Windows Disk Management ?

No matter which way you go, everything on the stick now, will be deleted.
