Solved Can't run sfc /scannow

This is odd. Suddenly I can't run sfc /scannow. I right click, choose run as admin. The window opens "UAC" click Yes and window flashes but does not open.
Any ideas please?

Running it from the command line off the windows disc is the only thing I can think of. I can't imagine what would be blocking the command window short of a virus.

Didn't go into cmd properly. Really I should have been pensioned off years ago - sorry to waste space and time:o:o:rolleyes:

Recently had a friend freaking out because of the same behavior with ipconfig command, turned out he was doing the same thing.
