I can't see any icons on my desktop, not even the files I copied to my user's Desktop folder. Dragging on the desktop doesn't draw the expected selection rectangle.

How can I troubleshoot this problem?

Thanks in advance,
Daniel Serodio

If you right-click the desktop, select the "View" command, is the "Show desktop icons" item checked? If not, click it to return you desktop icons to their rightfull place...

Glad I could help. I've been caught unawares before by the "no icons on the desktop" phenomenon.

And welcome to the forums!
