Can't shrink volume.

I'm on W7 now, and wanted to have Windows XP too.
So I decided to make another partition and install XP on that.

But the problem is I can't shrink the volume, it will give me this error all the time.
The Virtual Disk service and everything connected to that is enabled and running.

You cant shrink the OS partition from within itself. To shrink that you need a 3rd party app like Paragon disk suite

I'm trying to shrink D.
And I only have a few games on there :S.
But thanks for the suggestions, I will try it.

PS: When I try to make a partition the maximum size can only be 8mb..

That is not unusual for Disk Management. The MFT is in the way and DM cannot move it. That's why I suggested the program above.
