Cant type password in log in screen and BSOD

Hi, I cant type the password in the log in screen in win 7... Its never happened before n was fine last night... installed no new software no nothing... tried the fixes on the forum like restarting in safe mode etc but just cant type the password.... please help

I would substitute another keyboard if you have one. Looks like your keyboard is not working.

I have dos 6.22, wfwg 3.11, win98, 2000 and xp VHD's available for testing. MS's Virtual PC works great.

Is the "Caps Lock" key in the "On" state, which will result in an unrecognized password, or do you mean that nothing appears when typing? Are you using a wireless keyboard? If so, have you checked the signal and batteries?

Its not a desktop and i know the keyboard is fine as the F8 key allows me to try and access the safe mode. I used that menu to try Windows recovery to previous config, but now after boot the window dsnt start instead im getting a blue screen error n then nothing just pause. I tried start up repair as well. any help plz i have alot of important assignments in C drive i dont want to format.
