I'm trying to update to Windows 10 but the installation fails because of 8007002C-4000D. After running sfc /scannow and reading the log, I've learned that the problem seems to be with two Windows Unified Telemetry Client files:
- utc.app.json
- telemetry.ASM-WindowsDefault.json

I did locate Windows update KB3068708 (06-12-15) and uninstalled it, but the problem with the Telemetry files remains.

I don't have a copy of the Windows 7 discs. The OS was loaded onto my computer when I bought it.

I can't attach the CBS.zip file. That is, I've tried to upload it six times this evening, but your server timed out every time. I hope I've included enough information to get some help without the file.

The two files you see in SFC are irrelevant to your problem, and are the result of an error in coding from MS - they will be corrected in a later update (so claim MS, anyhow). They can be ignored.

You can upload the files to a fileshare site (preferably DropBox or OneDrive) and post a link here

The 8007002C error possibly indicates either
1) a problem downloading all the necessary files
or (and more likely)
2) You Anti-Virus getting in the way

Okay, let's try this again. I think the problem is that the CBS file is massive. I uploaded it to my website here:

Thank you!

I can't see any SFC results in the CBS logs - but three's one file that is too big for my editor to open, so it may be in there.
There are no significant errors in the logs that I can see.
What Anti-Virus are you using?

I use Avast.

I'm attaching the SVC details file which shows the corrupt files found during the scans I did yesterday.

Ah - those errors can be ignored - they are the result of a coding error by MS which they say they will fix when they get around to it.
I refer you back to the second part of my post #2 - what Anti-Virus are you using?

I'm using Avast. I'll try turning it off and updating from there.

I have the exact same issue. Did disabling the anti-virus work?
