Can't update Windows

Got message 80072efd.
Running Windows 7 Pro. Windows firewall off
Running ESET SS 5 Eset firewall on

Don't know if ESET is causing the problem or something else.

It is suggested by MS, that you temporarily disable 3rd part firewalls and then try to update.

You may encounter temporary connection-related errors when you use Windows Update or Microsoft Update to install updates

Thanks all for helping.
I have fired off a message to ESET. I think some setting in the new ESET SS 5 is causing the problem.
Tried adding to the exception list in ESET but I really don't know what I am doing.
Don't waste any more of your time on this as it must be Esets problem.

Would a logical approach be to simply uninstall Esetl
Install MSE (Microsoft Security Essential) -- link in my sig-- which will also turn the Windows Firewall back on.
Install the updates.

When you get an answer from ESET, then you can go back to using ESET, assuming they present you with a working solution.
