I accidently downloaded your codecs for vista, when i have Win 7 PHE I have no idea where they went since they are a binary file, I don't know what im doing, im so frustrated i could cry, I dont know what to do, where to start, i look at your screenshot, and i dont have that, dont even begin to know where to find it, there is no help tab on my wmp or im just blind as a bat. I need step by step instructions if you have time, i have multiple sclerosis really bad and stuff dont make sense to me right away, sorry i dont know the other stuff you wanted to know about my pc. Please fix me or im just gonna melt into a puddle of sugar LOL Then if you could direct me to the right codec after removing the wrong one, that would be wonderful too. Thank You in Advance! I appreciate your help!

AVI is supported in windows media player 12 built into windows 7 nativily. You do not need a codec.

File types supported by Windows Media Player

What codec from our site? Was it an ad? We do not offer codecs here...

In order to see your old school file menu in windows media player:

In windows media player, hit the ALT button on your keyboard. This will bring up the menu.

Your awesome for reading this.
Maybe OP should try another player like VLC or MPC (easy to google) since Windows Media Player "out of the box" will choke or not play at all amazingly large amount of file formats from popular FLV and some types of AVI to MPEG and MP4. If I didn't have other programs I would be crying too.
