canvas for onenote not loading

i've tried installing it a few times and keep getting an error message (see attached). any ideas? i used to use onenote a few years back then fell off it but this addon kinda sparked my interest again. anyways, any help would be appreciated.

I suggest that you install office 2010 beta and run onenote canvas...It has been a great experience
My guess is that your office installation got impaired somewhere along its lifetime.
Go to start menu and Microsoft office...There should be a program in there that provides diagnostic service for office.

i ended up checking the box in word (options > trust center settings > privacy options > download a file periodically..) and then voila, it worked. no need to get the new version as my 07 still works great.
