Recently I bought a new mechanical keyboard to replace my old one. Everything was working fine but one day I bumped the CAPS lock and couldn't turn it off. After playing around I found that it toggled off when shift was pressed. So naturally I contacted the manufacturer's support and they gladly tried to help. after uninstalling the drivers and configuring software (it's a programmable keyboard) nothing worked. When plugged into another computer the CAPS lock worked fine, and when at the user log in screen on start up (before logging in) it works fine. Skipping ahead, today I plugged in my old keyboard and found the problem was also affecting this one as well. I assume it's something other than driver problems now. Does anyone know what the cause of this problem could be and how to fix it?

According to Keyboard shortcuts for Windows, pressing the Win logo + s should toggle the caps lock on and off; you might try that. You can also open the "on-screen keyboard" and try to toggle the caps lock that way. Maybe one of those will get it out of the state that it is in.... although I've never seen such a state hang around after a reboot.

After thinking it through and reading this thread I realized that I had basically done what they said. Thinking back, I had thought that setting was for toggling the languages (I use different language on my computer) and set it to shift. Thank you for you're help, UsernameIssues.
