Solved captions using windows 7

can anyone please tell me how do I add individuals captions ie names to photographs that I email to newspapers etc.i am using windows 7.many thanks

You want to add text onto images you mean?

no I do not want to add onto an image but when you view my photos you can see the name under each photo off lets say paul running etc.never had this problem with other versions off windows as I always had the option when viewing the photo off adding a caption

Did you try using Paint ?

Hovering over a file can give info such as title, tags etc.

Right click on the file then Properties > Details then hover to the right of the field you want to add details to (Tags in the screenshot below), then add your text in the box that shows (Title in the screenshot below).
