I am trying to install a mag stripe card reader on my computer. Each time I plug it in, it searches for the drivers and starts loading them, then I get the BSOD.

I tried the card reader on my notebook (Also Win 7) and it works with no problems. the dump file is attached - and 'Who Crashed' output is:

The crash took place in a standard Microsoft module. Your system configuration may be incorrect, possibly the culprit is in another driver on your system which cannot be identified at this time.

I would appreciate any suggestions on resolving this issue.

Well who crashed it sort of correct. I was caused by the usbccgp.sys. It caused a buffer overrun. Your driver is almost a year old and I wonder if there isnt a newer one. Another thing that cuold cause this exact problem is a virus.

I would re-install and updated drive, and run a complete anti virus scan.

Let us know if you need help
