If I buy a card for my Mac Pro desktop, when it says its not compible with mac, does that mean the mac os, meaning can i buy it and still use it with my windows through boot camp?

A new GPU should be fine. If you are looking to buy RAM make sure it says designed to run on Mac Pro + whatever year it was made or something to that extent. Try and avoid RAM which seams to be the right kind but doesn't specify a type of Computer (oh and 300% could be classed as an understatement, my MacBook's RAM
upgrapde cost £90 off Amazon but would have cost nearly £500 through Apple (this was at the time they may be cheaper now though))
