I have upgraded from Vista 64 (running 9.4) to Win7 RC. The drivers seem to be working fine however the Control Center will not run.

I've uninstalled and re-installed 9.4 to no avail. There are no errors onscreen or in the event logs it just wont run. Tried launching from the desktop right-click menu and from the start menu (run as administrator) and it still doesn't work.

TIA

Weird. Make sure your .Net frameworks are all up to date. I think it runs off 2.0 but install 3.5 also anyway. Do a Windows Update, can't hurt. Nothing else I could think of at the moment.

i also find the same problem with my installation of windows 7 RC
in my case no. drivers gets installed and windows continue to use the following drivers :

ATI mobility radeon HD 3400 series (MS cooperation WDDM 1.1) (v.8.5612)

i have HD 3450 ati radeon , and have tried uninstalling them and then manually installing drivers, but catalyst is not available in any case.

I think windows 7 has .net 3.5 framework presinstalled??? do i need to install that beforehand installing ATI catalyst??

I downloaded the .NET Framework 2.0 64 bit and tried to install in compatibility mode and was informed that the capability was already built into the OS so it wouldn't install.

I uninstalled 3.5.1 from the "Add Remove Windows Components" and reinstalled to try to reset it to no avail.

I'm out of time for today so will just leave it for now as the drivers seem to be working fine. I will try to wipe the drivers completely later unless there are any other ideas :(

Other than this the upgrade from Vista Ultimate 64bit went perfectly (as far as I can tell so far, "knock wood")
