ccc 10.1 problem

I just downloaded and installed the 10.1 driver and the screen flickered and looked good then flickered once more and went black. Now it is just black...HD 3870x2 is the graphics card that I have. I tried plugging VGA into another screen but nothing. Any ideas on a fix?

there is a 80mm(8cm) intake fan on the side of the case and a 120mm(12cm) fan as exaust
was able to remote in and rollback, installed now 10.7, but still having issues with the type being really fuzzy in CCC and in other programs. Desktop is crisp along with IE.

I had to go back to an earlier version of the ccc recently. Started to get BSOD. Had to boot into safe mode and disable the ati card. I guess it could also be the card going to we'll have to see. Considering Nvdia for the software...
