CCcleaner and Chrome

Everytime i run CC cleaner it says Chromes cache needs to be closed so i close it and i get another popup that says waiting to close, then another popup that says it's taking too long to close and what do i want to do.

Talk about aggravating, holy crap.

To be honest I use to use chrome. But I found that it slowed down my PC a lot. Caused nothing like problems like you are having with it :) .

If you can I would switch to a different browser.

I've been using both Chrome & CCleaner for a long time and never have encountered any problems like the OP described. My guess is there is some hidden task running that keeps the Chrome cache open. A utility like Autoruns should help identify it.

Ccleaner runs perfect for me always has. Chrome use to run very good but I had a good few conplaints.

Welcome to Seven Forums herbc. Do you use cloud print? This can cause this. To disable cloud print

Open Chrome> Click on wrench> Options> Under the hood> Google Cloud Print> Disable cloud print

It's also possible that Chrome sync may be the cause

You could also uncheck the option in CCleaner. I think it is the compact databases option that is the issue. You can clear the cache in Chrome settings. You need to open the advanced settings link to see it.
