Hi Guys,
I was just wondering if any one has there CCNA or are taking courses to get a CCNA..

The reason I ask is that I am currently taking class from Cisco and would like to know maybe tips or tricks for taking the CCNA exam? I have about another year left, Before I complete the course but I figure but start reviewing as I have heard it is not any easy test to pass..

If anyone has CCNA or are actively taking courses and have tips about it.

Let me know..

Thanks..:)

I got up to CCNA 4, but didn't pay for the final exam, so it's not really worth anything until I do that...

Each part, 1, 2, 3 and 4, are easy to pass on their own, so you can get up to CCNA 4 fairly easy if you put the study time in to it. The practicals can be quite tricky, access lists were the bain of my life for me. I think I filled a notepad with binary anding and bit masking for one network I was doing. Though practical exams were still fun all the same.

The tests that are the killers are the ones you do that include questions from previous parts, like when I started CCNA 2, I had a test which was for CCNA 1, and so on, so you really need to keep up with everything as the final exam includes all 4 of them.

Another Question: (anybody can answer these)

What is the command to switch to global configuration mode on a Router, or Switch? (They are both the same)

At Dinesh: It does get costly $$ but I think it is well worth it.. I might stay at CCNA for a while and then go to CCNP..

Depends, if you are at the console it's
config t (for config terminal)

I used to have the CCNA, but let it expire as I didn't have a business case continually renew it.
