I have a LG CD player installed. Everything was fine until I went use it today. It's no longer there. It's not listed in my device manager or in Windows Explorer. Is there any way I can install it again?
Thanks.

Shutdown. Disconnect it. Restart. Shut down. Reconnect it. Restart.

Is it then detected or shown in Device Manager?

Any chance a cable has come loose?

Can you try another connector on the motherboard?

If none of that helps, I'd guess it has died. Those things are $20 commodities designed to be replaced from time to time.

Thanks. That did the trick. I should have thought of that. :o
