Hi guys!

I am experiencing a very starge problem when i insert a cd in my DvD-Rw drive. The system crashes, well i can still move the mouse, but cant to anything. even if i leave it for about 15-20 minutes the same problem.
If i eject the cd i have to wait about 3 min and it turns back to normal.
This happens randomly with cd and dvds. Now i am running windows 7 build 7600 (but this problem happened even in 7000, 7057, 7100).

My pc:

Intel q6600 2.4 ghz(no O/C)
Nvidia 9600GT 1gb
2 gb ddr2 800
Asus P5QL-E mobo

Please Help Guys

I'm having the same problem, I think it's a registry issue honestly and I have no clue how to fix it. Any Help from anyone with a similar problem would be awesome if we could find a solution. Cause I don't think it's a driver issue but maybe who knows.

These problem often happens when the Cd is bad. It hangs the computer completely. Try known-good cds and see if the problem persists.

Well as i just said this happens randomly, with some cds, but they dont seem to be scratched, i mean they seem to be in good condition. Anyway i just wanted to get sure if it is a hardware related problem or not.

I guess its not an issue either with windows 7 or with the cd drive. As is said, its quite common. ;)
