CD or DVD data not refreshing

When I insert a CD or DVD and remove it again the DVD drive in My computer is not refreshing. It is still showing the old DVD label and files. This is happening even if I insert another CD or DVD. The old DVD's files are showing instead of the new one. I tried refreshing. But it is not working.

Do you have autoplay enabled ?

I've seen this problem in older Win XP Systems, but not lately. I don't recall what the fix was for this.

Uninstall the drive in the Device Manager and then restart the PC. Windows will detect and reinstall on the restart. This will clean any potential corruption errors between Windows and the drive.
