CD-R software worked but when ejected it becomes blank

I have a lot of cd's which worked before this happened, now all of them are blank, it says on the system. Even cd-r dvd's are cd-rw.

Yes, the cd showed up. It also showed up again just now in my laptop, but then it was blank again when i ejected it.

This don't add up. Any cd once ejected indicates empty on the computer.
