Does the full speaker system work OK when you test the speakers in the Control Panel - Hardware and Sound - Sound Panel? That is also where you setup what type of speaker system, e.g. 5.1 that you have.

It worked OK on my Intel M/B with the Intel IDT drivers (when I tried the IDT audio, before installing a separate sound card). I have Win 7 64 bit OS.

One issue, if your motherboard does not support Vista, it could be a compatibility issue and you may never get it working with the IDT drivers. Ultimately you are probably going to have to install a separate sound card that is Win 7 compatible to get it working. This is not unusual for older hardware that does not have Win 7 support. I see this a lot on the Dell users forum from users that have older Dell's that are not supported in Vista or Windows 7, users are installing new sound cards to get full sound compatibility.

My system, that I noted in my original post, is Vista and Win 7 compatible so there were no issues.
