This applies to my Acer Aspire netbook running W7 Starter.

When attempting to install TeamViewer (and some other apps), I get this message:

"A required privilege is not held by the client"

Is this a limitation imposed by W7 or, perhaps, Avast confining it to Sandbox?

My netbook is set up with me as an administrator with full rights...any other thoughts? Remember, it is running W7 STARTER.

Did you right-click on the installation file and select, "Run as administrator"?

Selecting "Run as Administrator" solved the problem. Thank you very much.
Guess I have a lot to learn in W7...

Another way to fix "A required privilege is not held by the client " could be.....
Right click at the TeamViewer.exe file > click Run As Administrator > now, try to install it again.

My reply is 10 min late. Sorry for the repeat.
