Here's a challenge -- what's the SMALLEST W7 installation you can do so that its functional but would fit on to a USB stick with enough space for data. Ideally the OS should be less than 4GB.
It must have explorer, browser (internet access) disk burning software, disk and usb access, a partitioner and backup / recovery software. Everything else can GO.
(A leak to Windows 7 starter edition might be a good beginning point).
The OS doesn't need AERO, themes or whatever -- just as small or "vLited") as possible so its functional with network access.
