Good morning,

I am running IE11 on Windows 7 Pro. I had my text size set at 125% for several months and about a week ago it suddenly changed back to 100%.

I have tried resetting it back to 125% by going to the Control Panel and then Adjusting the Screen Resolution which had worked previously when I originally put it to 125%. But now it doesn't hold it at 125% anymore. Once I shut down and restart my text is back to 100%.

Any ideas for this elderly 'brain-housing group'?

Thanks and regards,

2harts4ever

Hi Brink,

No luck with this suggestion either. I guess I will just be content to change the text size from 100 to 125% when ever the need arises.

I appreciate you trying to help but for the time being I will just keep playing around with it. If I get to the bottom of it I will let you know.

Thanks and regard,

2harts4ever

PS: If I go blind from trying to see the smaller print I won't have to worry about it ....lol

How about setting all to 125% with the DPI setting. Go to: Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Display

Hi Brink,

No luck with this suggestion either. I guess I will just be content to change the text size from 100 to 125% when ever the need arises.

A quick way you can change it is to hit Control and + or - and it makes the current page bigger or smaller and keeps it that way for next time.

UPDATE: :D

I have no idea what happened but somehow, someway, when I just rebooted my computer the 125% text size was still working after rebooting. So just to double check I restarted my computer three times and just for good measure shut it down three more times and then restarted. My 125% text size setting survived it all. I wish I could tell everyone the correct fix, but for the life of me, I don't know.

I appreciate all your suggestions.

Thanks and regards,

2harts4ever
