Solved Change from Win 8 to Win 7 on Laptop

hey

There are many having a lot of problems with this but i have now a problem i cant google my way to help.
Problem.
After installing Win7 ultimate x64. windows won't launch.
Bios Start and when windows is supposed to launch it restart. and continue in a infinity loop.
I feel there is something more to be done in Bios, or i did something wrong under install.
I have done this before with success( not in this computer )



Computer: Acer Aspire V3 771G
What i have done:
In bios i changed to Legasy BIOS and disable secure boot. also disable quite boot

Under install:
I did it normaly except i followed this little thing:
"At first installer screen Press Shift + F10 to open a Command Box, type:

DISKPART
LIST DISK
SEL DIS 0 (after confirming Windows 7 target HD #)
CLEAN
CONVERT MBR
CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY SIZE=102400 (for 100gb partition, adjust as desired)
FORMAT FS=NTFS LABEL="WINDOWS 7"
ACTIVE
EXIT
EXIT"

Let me know if there is something else i could be doing.
Can't find any logic adjustment i Bios.

Update

I have now tested to do everything once again to see if i did something wrong.
Unfortunately it did not help.

The result is the same.
Bios launch and then restart after Bios screen is gone.

Where did you get the WIn7 installation media? How is it burned or written to stick?

Try installing to http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorial...e-firmware-interface-install-windows-7-a.html by booting the media as a UEFI device, then deleting all partitions during install.

What are all settings choices for UEFI, CSM, Legacy BIOS, Secure Boot in BIOS setup? Pictures will help.

Hi gregrocker

This is an old Win 7 ulti x64 dvd. ( 2010 or something )
I did install on another computer the same day and worked fine.(but that laptop got win 7 from before)

I will look into the link you gave me to see if this fix the problem.

The choices is:
Boot mode: UEFI / Legacy bios
Secure boot: Enable/disable: Then i have 3 options:
1.Erase all secure boot settings
2.select an UEFI file as trusted for executing
3.restore to factory default

thanks for the tip and i will look into it.
If there is something else i can do let me know.

Ok, Just informing what happend.

I followed your link and installed it with USB.
Worked like a charm, except i could not use the ISO i made from my DVD.
I might done something wrong, but what i did was download a updated copy and used that.
Now its working as intended.
I have still Legacy BIOS Avtivated and secure boost is disabled.
