Change icon font size only???

I'm trying to change the size of the font used for icons. But only for icons. Everytime I change it it also changes all other explorer font sizes including the start menu and explorer listings. Does anyone know to change only the icon font size?

Any help would be great. Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.

Hello Ken, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You might see of selecting the "Icon" item in the advanced Window Color and Appearance settings, then changing the font "Size" to a larger number may do what you are wanting.

Yes, it does increase the font size of the icon. But it also increases it for the Start Menu, Explorer font, etc. I just want to change the icon font size. Nothing else.

I'm afraid that you can't. It's one of those all or none deals.

Hi Ken,
Perhaps you are talking about increasing desktop icons and font size thereof. In windows, there is only one method that Shawn advised, and that will change the icon and font size everywhere, not only in desktop.

But you may try a program that creates Icons and fonts on desktop only. AveDesk . Download and install this, Set the settings at your preference, and start it with windows.
It looks good if you hide your desktop icons.Avedesk generates icons those are easily resizable, icon lebels are also converted to various size and style.
