Changed my documents view by mistake

I need help i accidentally change my document view. i had the one with the side thing that had my favorites, libraries, recent places, etc, etc. due to curiosity i lost it. please if anyone know how i can change it back, let me know. been reading and looking around for 2 hours now and nothing.

It sounds like you may have just turned off the Navigation Pane. Click on Organize (toolbar), Layout, and make sure Navigation Pane is checked.
