Changing BSODs on startup.

The three BSOD's I've seen after changing it to not auto restart are 0x0000001E, 0x00000019, and 0x0000000A. The only one I've actually seen the DMP file of is the first one and saw something about ntkrnlmp.exe.

It happens generally like a minute or two after startup and will sometimes happen twice in a row. On the 15th it happened four times though. I think that's everything I can say right now as I don't recall any other major details.

Was looking through some other threads and saw another issue someone was having that seemed similar to me. I don't know if any of it is related but I guess any additional information might be useful. The guy said youtube freezing. The same thing has been happening to me with all instances of adobe flash. Random freezing in a video or just the sound turning off requiring me to pause and unpause the video or stream to fix it.

I've also been seeing a lot of popups from my norton 360 app saying it is blocking attacks. Can't recall what their names are because the main norton app won't open up though I am able to use the quick scan function and some others on right click in the task bar. I have downloaded malware bytes and that has found some trojans before that I have removed. Did say something about svchost.exe, but I haven't even seen that in my processes. They were removed.

Hi thenecessity

I see that there is a problem with SYMEVENT64x86.SYS which belongs to Norton Internet Security

I see you also have Norton 360 installed. Uninstall NIS if you have that installed.

I see that eeventmanager.exe caused a blue screen. That program belongs to your epson software event manager. Reinstall that Software.

Run a SFC /scannow from an elevated Command Prompt

Click on :orb: type in CMD inside the Search programs and files box . Right click on CMD under Programs (1) choose Run as administrator . On the User Access Control window click on the Yes button. Inside Command Prompt the path will open up to C:\Windows\System32>_ .

Type
SFC /SCANNOW
Press <ENTER> If found corrupted files run a couple more times with Restarts in between the tests.

Run Chkdsk in the command prompt once done with SFC

Type
chksk /F /R
Press <ENTER> It will ask you to schedule a chkdsk on the next restart press the Y key and press <ENTER> and restart the PC manually.

Once that is done you will also test your RAM . Look at the link below . Yuu will need a USB flash drive to perform the test.

OK had a look through your files and noticed a few things right off the bat:

First it seems that your carsh is beinf caused by Norton:
Code:
fffff880`077e0a28 fffff880`03e0f089Unable to load image \??\C:\Windows\system32\Drivers\SYMEVENT64x86.SYS, Win32 error 0n2
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for SYMEVENT64x86.SYS
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for SYMEVENT64x86.SYS
 SYMEVENT64x86+0xf089
Driver Reference Table - SYMEVENT64x86.SYS

The next thing I not is that you are running both Norton and McAfee, this is a terrible idea both are known to cause BSODs and running two realtime protection Anti Virus programs at the same time is just asking for trouble. PLease remove both of them with their respective removal tools, Notron, McAfee. Then replace them with a combination of Microsoft Security Essentials, and Malwarebytes Antimalware. Tip when installing malwarebytes be sure to uncheck the box offering to start a free trial.

I've removed the Epson Event Manager, and am currently doing the system file check.

I do not have Norton Internet Security installed so thats definitely something. I guess I'll have to remove norton, thanks for letting me know that much. I had already removed mcafee though, just after I had uploaded the zip file.

The file check is now done, and it has found some corrupt files it wasn't able to fix. Should I upload the log?

I can't find the googleupdater on my computer.

Well, I found google update in my program files folder of the C: directory. Looks like its something that is mostly unused. Whatever program I added that brought this with it just isn't there anymore so I just need to figure out how to remove this. It wasn't in the processes when I checked but it was in the services section of task manager.

Uhh. The google update folder had just disappeared. Didn't delete it myself, but now its just not there. It also disappeared from the services.

I'm reusing the SF Diagnostic tool right now as I had a crash earlier, but I used them, should be no traces of norton and mcafee and ive got both MSE and malwarebytes installed.

edit: here it is, it still has all the other crash dumps in it too.

you may want to try updating your BIOS it is very old:

Code:
BIOS Version/Date	Dell Inc. A03, [COLOR="Red"]12/21/2009[/COLOR]

you can find Bios updates on the system manufacturers webpage

I did a scan with Mse and it found a virus. Alureon.a that required me to use defender offline to remove. I did that and removed the virus when I used defender but now I'm getting blue screen 0x0000007b. Using my phone right now.

Startup repair is saying root cause is unspecified changes to system configuration.

LOL Why is the picture upside down?

My recommendation is to open up a thread in System Security section to remove the Rootkit on your machine.
