How do you change the default folder view to be "List" for all folders? I set a few manually and when I go back the view to those folders the view has changed to "titles".

Is there a way to have "list" be the default view for my DVD drive as well?

Thanks
Artoo

Hello Artoo, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You can use the tutorial below to set "General Items" as the default folder template.

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/15699-folder-template-default.html

Next, set the folder view in a folder window to use "lists", then use "Apply to folders". Since you set all folder templates to be "General Items", the "Apply to folders" will be applied to all folders on the computer.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

I finally managed to get the view to be "List" for all my hard drives but have had problems getting my DVD drive to follow suit. DVD drive always defaults to "Details" for all the folders on the disc. When I change it to "list" and go to "Apply to all folder" in the View tab of the folder options it doesn't seem to keep when I change folders.

Any suggestions?

Artoo,

Unfortunately, removable media will not keep it's folder view settings. :(
