Changing from Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit

I have recently bought a new notebook that comes with Windows 7 OS installation. I installed the Windows 7 with the 32 bit option. I wish to install the 64 bit option now and wonders how can I convert from 32 bit to 64 bit?

Your guidance and steps are greatly appreciated.

Hello Vivalacompanie, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Unfortunately you cannot convert or upgrade from 32-bit to 64-bit, or the other way around. You will have to do a clean install instead. Be sure that you backup anything that you do not want to lose first.
