Solved Changing Graphics Cards!!!!

hey all. Just wanted some input on a situation that I have. Tomorrow i will recieve my new GPU. It's an XFX ATI Radeon HD 5750. I have right now I have a Geforce 8600 installed. When I go to install the new ATI one. Should I uninstall the Nvidia software and drivers then shut down my computer. Then install the ATI one and install the ATI software and drivers? Not sure how everything will respond when I boot back up. Just give me an idea on how how to go about changing out the cards.


P.S. I was origanally running 2 9600 GSO's. Should the Radeon 5750 be faster than the SLi'ed 9600 GSO's?

Here's a link with the steps to follow when replacing a graphics card. I really don't know for sure if it will be faster than the SLI setup or not.

What you posted (uninstall driver, shut down, remove old, put in new, turn on, install drivers) is correct.

Yes, it should be faster. It has DX11 anyways, so that's a big difference.
