Solved Changing SSD's

I just bought a new SSD Ocz Agility 3

I am currently using a Corsair force and what i want to know is what would be the best way to do this ?

I want to completly erase the 80 gb so i can use it for another system my issue is

If i just take the 80 gb out and put the other one in and continue to install windows will my bios settings be the same or will i have to re do the whole thing

Also would it be easier just to install the drive delete the 80 gb partition then shoot the OS on the new drive ?

Would that keep my bios in tact also would that keep the overclock profiles i have set in the bios? few questions before i get started

BIOS is not written to the hard drive, so it is not impacted in any way when you remove a drive.

sweet so that means my OC profiles will stay in tact I just have to reset the oc after installation correct ?

Overclocking works at the hardware level, and doesn't require software to run on the computer - is that correct? If so, then if you can get Windows installed using an overclocked profile, I see no reason you'd have to reset anything.

I would strongly advise that you set the BIOS back to default before you install windows on the new SSD.

After you set it to default make sure you have AHCI selected for the drive.

You can save your current OC as a profile in the BIOS (most of the time) and then reset to the OC profile after you have windows installed and everything running sweet.

I agree with Kipper; for what ever reason at times Windows does not like being installed when their is a overclock. I doesn't make sense to me but it has happened to me.

Why not clone the drive, much faster than a reinstall.
Probably take just a few minutes since you are going from SSD to SSD.

Update

The First steps i took was unhooked the second drive
Proceeded to install
OverClock stayed Booted
Change boot order
Shut down then Re attached second drive
Fired it up Formated second drive
Then made folders for all my programs
The clean install took 15 min I know i was shocked too
I have just finished getting all my stuff in check with the Exception of some games im loading off of steam
Pretty much the first solution worked but even if it didn't i planed to redo

Now Cloning the drive i thought of that or to do a transfer but in the end it all worked out the same and the good thing is i didn't have to go scrambling all over God's green earth looking for drivers and hardware patches
