Changing Win7 Logon Screen To ONly Show Second Account

My father's girlfriend is giving this Toshiba laptop to my father, and I'm charged with setting this up.

Starting off, the only (non-Guest) account has been:

[HerName]
Administrator

I created:
[HisName]
Adminsitrator

So when you boot up Win7, it lands here:

[HerName] [HisName]
Administrator Adminstrator

Is there any way:

1) To put [HisName] first, on the left?
or better yet, 2) Remove [HerName] from the logon screen, keeping the account so it can be switched to?

I've been reading tutorials and messages here, and I don't see anything that exactly addresses what I'm trying to accomplish. (I may have missed it, because I am very tired after being up way early and working since before dawn.)

Any help would be appreciated. Win7 Home Premium 64bit, if it matters in this exercise...

Actually you don't need to make an extra account for it. you can change
the first accounts name in the user account settings.

Open Control panel - User accounts
select the account you want to menage
Hear you should see the option to change the user account name.

Then, presumably I can kill the extra [HisName] account? (There's nothing in there aside from what I've set up.)

I can then also (if I want) renamed c:\Users\HerName to c:\Users/HisName, though he probably won't ever see it.

Do I have to be in the other account to change name as above?

Yes if you don't want that account you can delete it.
Or if you want to keep both but bring HisName to left
Just rename HisName To Her name and HerName to HisName.

And Sorry, but you cannot change the name of your C:\Users\(user-name)
folder itself. Doing so will most likely give you a user profile cannot be loaded error.


Edit: Please Note that renaming a user account name from control panel
will not change the C:\Users\(user-name) Folder name it will still remain
old name. for completely change name including folder.
Either create new account and delete old one or follow this tutorial.

OK, I'm OK with that.

His old WinXP computer was reimaged by a local shop, and they put my first name instead of his. The folders are still in my name today, and he doesn't go deep enough into the computer to notice.

I have it set up properly now, with one username (his). Thank you again!

Now, to post a more daunting problem with another Win7 laptop in the family...
