Solved Checking CPU speeds

What is best way to ck CPU speeds ??? Do I need a 3rd party program? If so, what do you suggest??
Task Mgr works for windows 8 but not in 7....thanks

Max CPU speeds

OK, thanks............ now I know how to ck my CPU speed..... What can I run or do to see what my max CPU speed really is ?????

There are various stress tests out there, such as Prime 95, Intel Burn Test, Super pi, etc. They are generally intended for overclockers who want to keep tabs on temperatures. Some test RAM as well as CPU. As far as I know, those guys tend to use CPU-Z to check CPU speeds.

You might try a post in the overclocking area of this site.

I use HW Info a fair bit the on screen monitor will show what the CPU is running at - see pic circled is what is running. HWiNFO, HWiNFO32/64 - Download < check the bit version download.
