Chilly BSOD? Happens on first boot, subsequent ones are ok

I get a BSOD for the first boot of the day, however a reboot works, and if I restart the computer again it is also ok.

I thought it might be a memory problem but a memtest doesn't show any issues.

I have followed the BSOD instructions and have attached the zip.

This is my first post so hope I have done everything correctly.

Update your CPU driver.
Update WinPcap.

Hi Laith,

Its a fairly slow test cycle for this problem so sorry for the delay in replying.
As a long shot I tried warming up the computer by taking the side off and blowing it with a hairdryer before switching it on and guess what, no BSOD. So looks like a hardware problem unless some driver that looks at temperature is the problem. I'll try re-seating the memory and see if that helps.
If not then I'll try your suggestions.

BTW, when you say CPU drivers do you mean motherboard or BIOS?

CPU drivers is the drivers from your processor.
In your case it is from Intel, it currently has nothing to do with your motherboard and BIOS.

Well I spent about half an hour this morning on the Intel download site trying to find a CPU driver for an Intel Pentium 4 530 3 GHz processor but there is nothing there.
