Chipset drivers

I have a HP Pavilion p6-2108p desktop computer. The chipset and sata drivers on the HP website are old from 2013. Is it ok to install the drivers from AMD's website?

Set a restore point first then you can try the drivers if something goes wrong can go back to the restore point.

I have been talking to Gigabyte about my MB and was told by them to look in Device Manager to find out if anything is marked with a yellow ! . if not, all is fine and windows installed its own drivers. are they correct?
