Chkdsk endless loop/bad HD

My laptops' HD has bad clusters which CHKDSK cannot repair. Can I clone the disc to a new one. The bad bit will of course be set in the new HD as well. Chkdsk will run at boot but as the disc is new CHKDSK will complete successfully. Right??

Hello and welcome Hbj mate first have you backed up the data you have? because I personally don't see any point in cloning the drive to anew one as it has corrupt files.

The other option is a factory reset on the machine but it will get rid of the data hence me asking if it is backed up.
