Hi
I've noticed the increasing number of websites autoplaying videos. I am using Firefox 56 with NoScript, AB Plus & Opera 45. Is there any need to constantly update web browsers if you use Zemana AKL, Kaspersky, Malwarebytes?

Is there any software or add on which will allow me to turn autoplay off and click if I want to watch the video? it would be nice to have a choice, like you have with Adblock for annoying adds, this does a great job so something similar to this for video would be good, my adsl download speed is only 3mb.

I have tried Flash Block extension it does exactly that, problem is it won’t allow me to watch so it’s all or nothing. I've tried about:config media.autoplay.enabled to false, this works the same as Flash Block with all or nothing In Opera I have click to play checked in settings, this does not appear to be doing anything.

Thanks
Smokes

The problem is you can put video on a site now just using HTML 5 no need for flash or scripts it's just a ongoing battle if you want to stop it. In many cases you get free content as the video pays to keep site going

Thank you for reply samuria just when you have unwanted ads under control these videos are popping up everywhere, Yahoo has some interesting reading but unwanted videos are becoming very annoying.
